About me

I was born in 1957 in Yorkshire, England. I have three children. I first held a golf club in my hands at the age of 5. Just before my 18^th birthday I started my career as a golf professional.

In 1988 I found myself working in Germany, for 17 years I worked at Augsburg Golf Club. In 2007 I earned the title “Junior Trainer of the Year” from the PGA of Germany. 2012 saw my first book published, “Golf – Der Perfekte Schwung».

Since 2016 I live and work in Switzerland, six years in Waldkirch and now in Sirnach at John’s Golf.

Early in my career I noticed that I could help golfers to quickly solve their swing problems. I could see what was wrong and best of all I could correct their mistakes in minutes. I take great pleasure in seeing my clients play better golf and having more fun on the course.

My late mother’s artistic talents have had a great influence on me. Her humour and the fact that we both played golf, was for me the inspiration I needed. My life in professional golf and my passion for painting have joined together, the result, my character “Golfy”. My pictures reflect my experiences both on and off the golf course, as a teacher and player.

I simply add a little humour and maybe a touch of sarcasm.
